Cutting Edge were pleased to manufacture and install a new type of interior wall cladding, M.R Walls, named after Californian designer Mario Romano, at DuPont Corian’s UK office. M.R. Walls are inspired by Mario’s love of nature – undulations in sand, butterfly wings, ocean waves – all very California and captured in his unique designs. The Corian® panels are versatile and offer multi-dimensional walls carved and textured unlike anything you’ve seen before.
Cutting Edge enjoyed the logical assembly, much easier than a jigsaw as each panel is CNC carved and labelled, then delivered and assembled on-site without any visible seams. The walls are impervious to mould, virus, and bacteria. They are a one-stop solution. Installer Tim said ‘phew’, as there was no need for painting, sanding or grouting, as you can see, he simply bonded the pieces together and hung them on rails fixed to the wall.
Cutting Edge hope to install more of this marvellous Corian® solid surface cladding and love the idea of bringing the feel of nature inside to inspire open spaces. It’s already been installed in numerous high-end homes in Los Angeles, M.R. Walls home country and place of inspiration.
